While the food receives widespread praise, some diners note that wait times can be longer, especially during the lunch rush. A wait of about 30 minutes isn’t unusual, but many find the quality of the food justifies the delay. For those in a hurry, it’s advisable to plan accordingly or visit during off-peak hours.
A few reviews mention that the space may feel a tad cramped during busy times, especially when groups gather. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall consensus remains enthusiastic about the experience.
Had the £9.95 cod, chips and mushy peas and it was excellent. I can't think of any better chippy meal I've had in 10 years. The only one that came close was one I had on the Scottish Coast. I had my dog with me so couldn't take it to the counter but after a bit of arm waving, one of the staff popped to the front and took my order, brought it down when it was ready and also bought a pot of water for my dog.
The best fish n chips hands down in Skegness, possibly best in UK. The fish is massive, chips are always spot on and the curry sauce is also perfect. Can't go wrong all for under £10! You will not find a better deal anywhere. Service is a bit slow but they rarely mess up so it's worth the wait which is usually about 30mins in the queue!
Every time we come to Skegness we eat here and after all these visits I thought a review was in order. No qué, plenty of tables. We got there about 12 noon, they soon got busy. Food was an incredible price, large haddock chips and a side of your choice for £9. Was a gent going round cleaning up as soon as people left which he was very thorough doing, only problem was he was stood near the table and I felt a bit awkward like he wanted us up and gone. Excellent service
A very eye catching fish and chip shop right on the main road through Skegness. What a scene. Pretty sure you’ll see something different every time you look at it. The queue was a sign that this place was well rated and it didn’t disappoint. Was just over a 20 minute wait, which wasn’t too bad. The food our family had was very delicious, the fish, battered sausages, the chips and the gravy. Was the best fish I’ve had in Skegness. The prices were very reasonable considering the portion size you get. The young lad that served us was very friendly and considering how busy it was very courteous and made sure we had everything we needed. We definitely recommend it and be back again.
Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful food, great value. Only £10 for large cod and chips with a side, mushy peas is best in my opinion 👍🏻. Restaurant is also very close to the beach which is convenient.
Visited on 13.5.25 Myself and my little family really enjoyed having a bite to eat here. My pirate obsessed 3year old absolutely loved all the pirates she could see and her pirate chippys 🤣 Both myself and my fiancé had small fish and chips, our daughter had a cone of chips. Food was absolutely delicious, all cooked fresh and very reasonably priced too. We would very highly recommend having something to eat here and we cannot wait to come back next time we're in Skegness
Very busy on a bank holiday. But queues went quickly. Very nice fish, chips & mushy peas. Great atmosphere and incredibly popular. Kept very clean by the staff. Good variety of food options/ kids meals.
